With an extensive and remarkable experience spanning over 25 years, Dr Rupal N. Shah stands at the forefront as the managing director and the consultant gynaecologist of Rupal Hospital – state-of-the-art “boutique” women’s healthcare facility in Surat and South Gujarat. Her expertise has facilitated the safe delivery of more than 18,000 new-borns’, cementing her reputation as a distinguished leader in the field.

Under the tutelage of her mother, Dr. Malti Shah, a renowned and preeminent gynaecologist, Dr. Rupal has carried forward her legacy of 50 years in providing unparalleled women’s healthcare services for more than two decades.

Dr. Rupal specializes in advanced Infertility treatment and IVF, having received extensive training from various renowned national and international institutes and workshops. Her academic orientation has earned her invitations to serve as a faculty member at numerous academic conferences and seminars worldwide.

Vama Wellness Centre for Women, an innovative and unique multidisciplinary consultation and diagnostic centre, is the brainchild of Dr Rupal offering comprehensive care to women of all ages, from puberty to menopause and beyond.

In 2012, Dr. Shah co-founded the Blossom IVF Centre, where she worked until 2022, playing a pivotal role in granting the gift of motherhood to countless infertile women worldwide.

Currently, she serves as the head of one of the most advanced and state-of- the-art fertility and IVF centres in South Gujarat at Rupal Hospital. Here, Dr Shah leads a dedicated and experienced team of fertility specialists and embryologists, employing cutting-edge technologies to offer the best possible outcomes to her infertile patients.

Her vast experience in fertility and IVF treatment field, passion and the world class success-rates have attracted thousands of infertile couples not only from Surat & South Gujarat and all over India, but also from countries such as the USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Tanzania, Mozambique, Kenya, and Italy to visit her to make their parenthood dreams real.

Meet the doctor, who has over 40 years of a successful and busy practice in Gynecology and Obstetrics and has successfully delivered more than 50,000 babies under her care and supervision. She has performed more than 12,500 family planning operations. Apart from her work-ethic and social values, her unmatched experience and continuous technology up-gradation have made her one of the most respected gynecologists not only in our city but entire South Gujarat.

Dr. Malti P Shah focused her practice on the well-being of menopausal women in her later professional career. Being our city’s and South Gujarat’s first qualified menopause practitioner, she started Surat’s first specialized clinic to treat physical and psychological menopausal problems.

Despite having a busy professional schedule, Dr. Malti Shah always has been interested in public health education. This has led her to write several educational books throughout her career in English and regional language-Gujarati. In very lucid language, these books educate the reader on vast topics like embracing adolescence, pregnancy care, menopause, issues linked with aging, and many more.

She has always been a source of inspiration to everyone whose life she touched. She is a founder of ‘Club 35 Plus’ in Surat, a club focusing on educating and inspiring women of age above 35 through multiple social, cultural, and medical activities. She has founded one NGO, Sanjeevani-Life, beyond cancer to train cancer caregivers for counseling and handholding of cancer patients.
